Filipinx Creatives Take Center Block in San Francisco’s Mid-Market for August’s UNSTAGED

SAN FRANCISCO (August 13, 2025) – Market Street Arts announced the line-up for August’s UNSTAGED: Live on Mid-Market, the free, interactive arts, music, and community experience on Thursday, August 21, from 4–7 p.m.. This month, UNSTAGED is getting a distinctly Filipinx flair, thanks to Kultivate Labs’ curation of emerging creatives from the Filipino Cultural District. Visitors will experience the diversity and vitality of Filipinx artistry on Market Street, between 5th and 6th. Registration is free and open at UNSTAGED.org

UNSTAGED will feature a range of live acts, including drag, comedy, breakdancing, and live music. From the Cuffin’ DJ crew, Druskee, DJ Boogie Brown & Jon Reyes will bring the house party vibes with, "Cuffin' All Thangs R&B," a R&B party that plays a mix of R&B music from various eras, including throwbacks, sing-alongs, slow jams, and remixes. There will also be an acoustic R&B stage featuring HIGATE Music Artists: Micah Espina, Peejay Estay, JENN!, Diwata Diaries, Don Miralles & Rafael. 

Guests are invited to join Community Arts Stabilization Trust (CAST) and KALW’s Audio Academy journalism fellows for street-side interviews and an exclusive Open House of the Warfield Commons, the one-of-a-kind home for artists, culture keepers, journalists & storytellers in the heart of San Francisco. Attendees will experience culture not just on stage, but embedded in the public spaces and storefronts of Mid-Market—an area that is both a historic arts corridor and a designated part of the Filipino Cultural District. This activation offers a vivid, immersive glimpse of what it looks like when Filipino creative voices lead San Francisco’s cultural resurgence. The full lineup includes:

The event takes place in the Mid-Market Entertainment Zone (Market Street between 5th and 6th Streets), where those 21+ can grab a drink and hit the street. Drinks for purchase will be available at The Red Tail, The Warfield, The Timbri Hotel, and Saluhall.
