“I am incredibly grateful for Megan’s leadership and commitment. She brings the marketing skills, sound judgment, and relationship-building this role needs,” said Fernando Pujals, Executive Director. “She’s already helped the neighborhood share its story, and in this new role, she’ll help us build a stronger team and grow the partnerships that support our work.

As Marketing Director, Garcia has highlighted local businesses and programming, fostered community collaboration, and improved perceptions of the Mid-Market neighborhood. She began her downtown leadership career at the Downtown Sacramento Partnership in 2010. Previously, she served as Vice President of Marketing & Outreach and Chief of Staff at the Flatiron NoMad Partnership BID in New York City, where she led events, marketing, and outreach, supported the BID’s expansion, and managed organizational growth. She also directed a rebrand and website launch, introducing a new visual identity for the Flatiron NoMad Partnership. Garcia also brings private-sector media marketing experience from her time at CBS.

“Mid-Market is a neighborhood full of creative energy and incredible people. It has come a long way in just the last few years, and the work we do is critical to continuing that momentum,” said Garcia. “I’m dedicated to building on what we’ve started, supporting our team, and strengthening our relationships with the City, our partners, and the community that inspires me every day. Our collective efforts and collaboration is what helps Market Street Arts and this district succeed.”

Garcia completed the Coro New York Neighborhood Leadership Program (2018) and holds a BA in Communications from UC Davis.
